BIOGEOSOM is an ongoing research project on ambient music and its potential to stimulate the mind to create imaginary landscapes. Through motion design and visual projection, the project creates artificial representations of natural elements to bend the relationship between technology and nature. A series of animations was conceived to explore the connection between image and sound, crafting environments to produce a synesthetic experience for the spectator.

With the images produced, possible uses of them were proposed and are currently being developed to continue the project's intention of  affecting people through significant experiences. Firstly is a virtual platform in which the spectator can navigate through to discover several different rooms where they will encounter ambient music playing, and over the room's walls, the projection of an animation that best translates the feeling produced by the sound.
In December 2023, a branch of the project was approved in an open call from Function, a brazilian web radio centered around electronic music. In the recurring program, a DJ is invited to perform a live set featuring experimental ambient music while a VJ set is also being performed live. Below is the flyer for the first episode, made in collaboration with designer and friend Emir Lucresia.
This project would not be possible without the online community that facilitates TouchDesigner software learning. Special thanks to Elekktronaut, PPPANIK and Supermarket Sallad.
